SEPTEMBER FIELD

I started painting this during an open studio, so there were quite a few distractions. With this in mind I just wanted to use a few simple techniques which would allow me to concentrate on light and depth of field, no pun intended.

The sky and background features are the real stars of this piece, for me anyway, with the foreground creating the effect of depth that I was after.
